Romance is on the cards for Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) in EastEnders this holiday season, as they share a romantic kiss.
The former couple, as viewers know, went their separate ways earlier this year after Jean’s bipolar episode, which saw her admitted to a mental health unit.
Harvey didn’t know what to say to Jean when she returned to the Square, but he was keen to find out if she wanted to get back together. The former lovers soon bonded, deciding to go for a cup of tea in the cafe.
Jean, however, revealed that she would prefer to stay friends, making it clear that she’s not looking for anything more right now. Harvey, though upset, agreed to a friendship, but he soon found himself lonely and thus looked for love on a dating app.
Tragedy struck, however, when he was catfished by Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero), who pretended to a be a woman named Sophia interested in dating him, and thus he lost all of his savings.

But there could be some happiness on the cards for him during the festive season. Jean and Freddie (Bobby Brazier) enjoy a boardgames night, and Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) soon gets roped in too.
During the evening, however, Harvey arrives, and the boys soon ditch Jean for a party.

Jean, meanwhile, invites Harvey in and they subsequently have a lovely evening, which ends with a kiss.
Afterwards, Jean frets about the possibility of Harvey getting cold feet. To complicate matters further, Stacey (Lacey Turner) sees Harvey showing Martin Fowler (James Bye) a ring-sized box!
