Eamonn Holmes’ GB News co-host Isabel Webster has said it has been ‘heartbreaking’ to see the presenter deal with health issues.
The 62-year-old has been suffering with chronic back pain for the past 18 months after a trapped sciatic nerve left him struggling to walk.
Eamonn has been open about his health battles and said his ongoing back problems have put a ‘strain’ on his relationship with wife Ruth Langsford.
In a bid to return to living a pain-free life, the former This Morning presenter recently revealed he would be taking a break from GB News presenting duties to recover from a spine operation.
However, the broadcaster had a major setback when he fell down the stairs, fracturing his shoulder, meaning he will require more surgery and need more time off than planned.
Speaking after Eamonn’s accident at home, Isabel said that she was ‘heartbroken’ to see him in ‘so much pain.
She added: ‘It’s been heartbreaking to see him in so much pain, Eamonn has had such a run of back luck.

Isabel told the Daily Mail, she said: ‘I know how much our audience is missing Eamonn, and I am too’.
Meanwhile, Eamonn has recently praised Isabel for guiding him through the crowd during the Queen’s funeral.
‘I mean it was humiliating for me,’ he told Isabel via video message. ‘You took me through that crowd. And I stumbled a few times, and my leg gave way a few times. And after that I was a bit humiliated really. You didn’t make any issue of it, but it was an issue for me.’

Eamonn also updated fans this week about how he was doing after he was asked by a viewer: ‘How’s your recovery going? Wishing you all the very best and hope to see you back on @GBNEWS very soon – it’s been far too long without your refreshing honesty!
Eamonn replied: ‘It might be a while I’m afraid.’
Earlier that day he had taken to social media writing: ‘An extra hour in bed ? Have it back if it just means an extra hour of Pain.
