Eamonn Holmes has confirmed his return to GB News after having back surgery.
In September 2022, the broadcaster, 63, announced that he would be taking a break from hosting his usual breakfast slot alongside Isabel Webster so that he could recover from a medical procedure.
He underwent the operation in hopes that it would allow him to live life without constant pain, having been open with his followers on social media about his chronic health struggles.
Updating his Instagram followers on Sunday, he announced that he’ll be back on the small screen alongside his co-host Isabel Webster.
Speaking in a video, he began: ‘After nearly four months away off the telly, I’m back tomorrow which sounds like a threat doesn’t it!
‘You may or may not be aware of what happened to me. I had some back surgery because I’ve had disc problems for a year and a half or so and the surgery affected one of my legs, which led to me falling down stairs, and breaking my shoulder.

‘So I had a leg that didn’t work, and a shoulder that didn’t work – and lots of other things in between.’
Reflecting on how the last few months have been for the presenter, he joked: I feel that there are only so many box sets I can watch or recommend to you!
‘I’m not better, but I’m better than I was. And I’ve decided to make an attempt to go back to work on GB news from tomorrow (Monday, January 9). This is on the basis that work, hopefully, will help to heal me.’
He continued: ‘As any of you who are long term sick, or who are in any way convalescing, particularly at home, will know, there’s a lot of frustration involved in it.

So for me, I am going to give it a go. And hopefully things will get better as a result of doing those day to day things.”
‘Now, all I need is you to be there.’
Fellow celebrities and fans rushed to congratulate Eamonn on his recovery, with Lizzie Cundy writing: ‘Great you are back darling.’
‘So happy to see you back where you belong,’ another added.
Eamonn joined the GB News Breakfast Show in January 2022 after leaving ITV’s This Morning, which he hosted with his wife Ruth Langsford.
