Donny van de Beek has spoken out on his possible exit from Manchester United this summer.
Much was expected of Van de Beek when he completed a £40m move from Ajax in 2020, but the Dutchman has underwhelmed at Old Trafford.
Van de Beek was a key member of the Ajax side that won the Eredivisie title in 2019 and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
But that form has largely disappeared since he arrived at United, with the 26-year-old making just 34 Premier League appearances for the club across three seasons.
The Netherlands international, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford, also had a disappointing loan spell at Everton.
Van de Beek scored the only goal in a 1-0 pre-season friendly win over Lyon on Wednesday and the midfielder, who is under contract until 2025 with the option to extend for a further year, opened up about his future after the match.
‘For now, it’s hard to say where my future is,’ Van de Beek said. ‘I’ve come back now after injury and I’m fit now, so I play my first minutes after training for a few weeks, so I try to push as hard as possible.

Asked if he could potentially stay at United, Van de Beek said: ‘Yeah, but it’s also a possibility that I move, so everything is open.
