Doctor Who’s new venture involves Billie Piper (Picture: BBC)
Billie Piper will be reprising her role of Rose Tyler in the Doctor Who universe later this year.
In September, she’ll star in three new audio adventures and some plot details have already been released by the production company Big Finish.
Rose will be trapped in a dangerous reality after jumping through dimensions – just a standard Monday in the Doctor Who world.
Billie, 40, will be taking centre stage as the synopsis reads: ‘Rose’s mission is to save the multiverse – but first, she must save herself!’
The quest sounds exhausting but we’re sure Rose is up to it.
The episodes are called Sink or Swim, The Lower Road, and The Good Samaritan, and the whole series is aptly named Trapped.

Camille Coduri is also back as Rose’s mum Jackie, and they are joined by Danni, played by Em Thane.
Her mysterious character ‘will form a close bond with Rose’ in the third part of the ongoing series Rose Tyler: The Dimension Cannon.
‘It’s exciting to record The Dimension Cannon and play the part again, but it’s even more thrilling when the fans learn about it, listen to it, and then discuss it with me when I meet them at conventions,’ said Billie ahead of the episodes.

‘It doesn’t feel over. Rose Tyler has more life in her yet.’
Producer Emily Cook explained how the third volume in the trilogy differs from the previous two.
‘Wherever Rose went, she’s now trapped there for the duration of this series… and this reality is stranger and more dangerous than anywhere she’s been before,’ she explained.
‘This series is essentially Rose’s quest to get herself back so she can find the Doctor.’

The actress originally starred as Rose Tyler in the sci-fi series, alongside David Tennant’s Doctor, when it was rebooted between 2005 and 2006. She came back to the show in 2008, 2010 and 2013, but she ‘didn’t like the responsibility’ that came with the role.
Speaking to Lauren Laverne on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, the singer and actress said she ‘didn’t know that it would be successful’.
‘It made me really famous again in that sort of mainstream fame way that I find really uncomfortable,’ she told Lauren.
Rose Tyler: The Dimension Cannon – Trapped is now available to pre-order as a collector’s edition box set (on CD + download for just £19.99) or digital download only (for just £16.99), exclusively from bigfinish.com.
