The Guardian -Disease could kill more people in Gaza than war, UN warns

The front page of the Guardian leads on a report from the UN saying more people could die in Gaza due to disease than the war itself as the people in the Strip are not getting enough aid to meet basic emergency needs, including access to clean water.

Elsewhere, the paper says the row over the Parthenon Sculptures raises fresh questions about Britain’s “fraught relations” with the European Union. One senior Brussels official tells the paper that “if you want to be a global Britain, you don’t just stop talking with friends because of an issue that has been around for 200 years”.
