Denise Richards is ‘grateful to be safe’ after her truck was shot at last week.
The 51-year-old actress and her husband Aaron Phypers were travelling in their truck in Los Angeles on 14 November when a fellow motorist allegedly opened fire at their motor.
On Thursday, as people across the United States celebrated Thanksgiving, the Wild Things star thanked her fans for their ‘love and support’ in the wake of the terrifying incident.
She shared a message on Instagram which read: ‘I want to give my sincerest thanks to all who have reached out to me and Aaron during this time. We are both very grateful to be safe.
‘The love and support from all of you has been overwhelming!! We are so thankful for each and every one of you.’
Fans flooded the post with messages of support, with one follower commenting: ‘What the hell is wrong with this world? People have lost their minds. Glad you and your family are ok.’

Another fan added: ‘Happy to hear you are both safe and unharmed!’
It was previously revealed Phypers was driving his wife to work at Popsicle Studio when a gold and maroon van began following their Ford F-150 Shelby pick-up truck.
A representative for Richards confirmed to NBC News that no one was harmed following TMZ reports that he was struggling to find the studio, and the driver behind them got impatient.
Although Phypers let him pass, the other driver fired a shot at the Phypers’ side of the car before driving off, and police were reportedly called after someone spotted gunshot damage on the Ford Shelby F-150 truck.
The couple, who got married in 2018, share their adopted 11-year-old daughter Eloise while Richards was previously married to Charlie Sheen after the pair met on set in 2000. They tied the knot in 2002 but divorced in 2006.
She shares her children Sami, 18, and Lola, 17, with the actor.
