Daily Express – Dementia cases to rise but new drugs offer hope 

The Daily Express reports that a stark warning that dementia cases will soar over the next two decades comes amid “optimism” the condition will become treatable.

Research suggests the total number of people living with dementia in England and Wales may hit 1.7 million by 2040. 

The paper says the figure is 40% higher than previous estimates, though adds that new drugs are providing some hope that that condition will become treatable.
