The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran scared himself after suffering a concussion just days before the Dancing On Ice launch.
The 34-year-old singer, who is joining the likes of Love Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu and The Only Way is Essex star Joey Essex on the 2023 edition of the ITV series, badly hit his head while practising for his first performance.
Addressing his painful accident after the first episode of the new edition on Sunday, Siwa said: ‘I banged the back of my head. I’ve got a mild concussion as we speak so I’m seeing double a bit.’
‘I literally felt the back of my head, thinking, I’m like, I’m broken, but then once the medics came over and checked on me, they said “You’re all good, it was a minor bump,”’ he continued.
‘I scared myself on the day… but overall, I’m very positive now.’

Doctors have advised Siwa not to look at bright lights and to also avoid screens for a while.
Asked how he is feeling ahead of the first performance, Siwa shared that he is ‘really confident’ and ‘focused’.
He added: ‘I’m going to do my best, and, when I look back at this, I want to know that I gave 120% and I made my family and friends and everyone proud and myself proud.

‘I think that’s what I’m nervous about – I don’t want to half-ass it, I want to do it.’

Siwa previously shared that he decided to do the show after ‘witnessing’ the courage of his bandmate Tom Parker, who died last year aged 33 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, and to raise awareness of the illness
Hosted by This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the stars will be vying to impress judges Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo and Jayne Torvill on the competition show.
Dancing On Ice continues at 6.30pm on ITV.
