Daily Mirror - BBC calls in cops

Summary of the front page

The Daily Mirror goes with the BBC calling in the police over claims one of its now-suspended presenters was involved in a scandal.

“BBC calls in cops” declares the headline. The paper says Mr Davie defended the corporation saying the presenter was dropped after “new allegations” came to light.

Labour MP Rachel Reeves says the BBC “needs to get a grip” as it seems to “lurch from one scandal to another”, notes the paper.

The front page reports on England’s Ashes test win and the second child to die in the Wimbledon school car crash.
