In the latest explosive revelation from Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan, the Manchester United forward has now criticised the Glazers and claims they ‘do not care’ about the club.
The Portuguese superstar sat down for an exhaustive 90-minute interview in which he slammed United’s hierarchy and accused them of trying to force him out of the club, as well as saying he would ‘never respect’ manager Erik ten Hag.
United released a statement on Monday saying they would ‘consider their response after the full facts have been established’, with the interview not airing in full until later in the week.
The Red Devils will almost certainly fine Ronaldo two weeks’ wages – which amounts to around £1million – and are even considering tearing up his contract.
Ronaldo will have risked their wrath even more with his latest comments, with the 37-year-old hitting out at the Glazer family’s ownership of the club and making it clear that he believes they are more interested in money than performances on the pitch.
Speaking once again on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ronaldo said: ‘The owners of the club, the Glazers, they don’t care about the club. I mean, professional sports.
‘As you know, Manchester is a marketing club, they will get money from the marketing. The sports they don’t really care about, in my opinion.’

Asked if he has ever spoken to any of the Glazers since returning to United and how involved they are, Ronaldo responded: ‘Never. They give all the power to the presidents [board members], sporting director.’
The Glazer family’s ownership of United has received plenty of criticism from fans and pundits alike, with the club not putting up a genuine title challenge in nearly a decade – since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club – while Old Trafford is in dire need of major refurbishment.
There have been an increasing number of protests against the Glazers in recent years and there was a big push to see the club sold over the summer, with Ronaldo now lending his voice to those calls.
Asked if he agrees with the anti-Glazer supporters, Ronaldo replied: ‘The fans are always right. I think the fans should know the truth.
‘They should know that the players want the best for the club, I want the best for the club – this is why I came back to Manchester United. This is why I love this club.
‘But you have some things inside the club which don’t help Manchester United reach the same top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal for example.
‘This is complicated, it’s difficult, it’s hard. In my opinion it will be hard for Manchester to be in the top of the game in the next two or three years.’
