Craig David and Sir Mo Farrah were suited and booted as they arrived at the Mobo Awards 2022 red carpet ahead of the event’s 25th-anniversary ceremony on Wednesday.
Founded by Kanya King in 1996, the celebration of artists who make music in genres including R&B, grime, and soul, was held in the heart of London at the OVO Arena Wembley.
Stepping in front of the flashing cameras, icon and Rendezvous singer Craig looked suave in an all-black suit ensemble and sported a trim beard and dazzling smile.
Sir Mo, Olympian and world champion long-distance runner turned up in a black velvet blazer with leather lapels that he wore over a plain white t-shirt.
Accessorising with two chains of varying lengths, rings, and a string wristband that featured the Union Jack the former athlete struck a serious pose ahead of the award show.
Speaking on the significance of having an award show, that recognises legacy, founder Kanya said ahead of the evening: ‘It’s a proud moment to see MOBO Awards return to London for our big 25-year milestone, which will see us celebrating our legacy, as well as paying it forward to the biggest stars of the scene.’

Wednesday night’s return will see stars walk the Mobo Awards carpet in London for the first time in eight years.
With a hall-of-fame that includes the likes of Mel B, Tina Turner, and Destiny’s Child, the event is in association with Lucozade and has been instrumental in supporting the growth of British black music on the world stage.

The list of nominations was announced at the beginning of the month and saw the likes of Knucks, Little Simz, and Dave charging ahead in the hopes of bagging more than one MOBO for their work.
Adding categories to the usual fixture, this year’s ceremony commended artists in the world of alternative music and dance and electronic.
The best alternative music act award recognised performers working in indie, rock, and punk, and the best dance/electronic act award, crossed genres such as jungle, drum and bass, house, and techno.
Also honoured on the night was the late Jamal Edwards who received the Paving The Way prize in celebration of trailblazers who carved a path for future musical generations.
