Max Turner (Paddy Bever) continues to fall further under the spell of extremists in Coronation Street, camping out with them on a wasteland as part of the huge storyline.
Paddy, who plays the teen, was spotted on-location filming upcoming scenes for the ITV soap, and pictures reveal intense scenes as Max sits by the camp fire holding a bag, after an intense exchange with the groomers.
But just what does Griff and his racist cronies have in store for him? Is Max in immediate danger?
Max, as viewers know, is being targeted and groomed by Griff, who is keen to use his online expertise to spread his gang’s racist propaganda.
The storyline kicked off last week after Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) discovered that the band that Griff and his mates invited him see were playing racist songs.
Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) subsequently got wind of the situation and wasted little time tackling Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) about the company he’s keeping, unaware that Spider is an undercover cop who has infiltrated the gang to expose their activity.

Griff, meanwhile, stood up for Max after he was targeted by school bullies, which is how the two characters initially crossed paths, and subsequent scenes saw the extremist introduce Max to a girl named Lauren, who will seemingly play a pivotal role in the storyline.
Over the course of the next few months, Max will become more and more estranged from his family as Griff continues to manipulate him, driving a wedge between he and his loved ones.

Discussing the upcoming storyline, Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod said: ‘Overall, Max’s story is one about the grooming of a vulnerable teenager at a point where he’s feeling most alienated and disenfranchised.
‘The story will encompass the “traditional” recruitment techniques of extremists groups, and we’ll see Max befriended in person by older, mentor-like figures that will give him a sense of loyalty and brotherhood.
‘Then, later in the story, we will explore a very 21st Century problem: teenagers self-radicalising through watching extreme content online.

‘In the end, we wanted this to be a story about communication within families – what are the right and wrong ways to talk to younger family members who are gravitating towards extreme views?
‘For the conclusion of the story, David’s misjudged attempts to deal with Max will drive the narrative to a shocking and thought-provoking climax.’
