Gemma’s fear spirals (Picture: ITV)
Being investigated by social services continues to have a serious impact on Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) in Coronation Street soon, as she starts to wonder if Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) is planning on taking their children from her.
Towards the end of last year, Joseph (William Flanagan) was rushed to hospital after collapsing at home. There, a doctor told Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove), Gemma and Chesney that Joseph had been poisoned as a result of a mistake made by Gemma.
It was an upsetting ordeal and matters were made even worse when a child protection officer arrived and explained an investigation needed to take place.
The officer told Gemma that while the process got underway, she wouldn’t be allowed to look after Joseph or the quads on her own.
