Gemma was really worried (Picture: ITV)
Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) found herself terribly concerned for Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) in Wednesday’s (November 8) episode of Coronation Street.
The young lad took the day off school after saying he wasn’t feeling well. As Chesney (Sam Aston) headed off to work, it left Gemma looking after the quads and a poorly Joseph.
Complaining of a headache and feeling tired, Joseph rested on the sofa, but became concerned when Gemma suggested visiting A&E just to be on the safe side.
Joseph told Gemma that his symptoms definitely didn’t warrant a trip to A&E, but Gemma didn’t listen.

That evening, she then hopped onto the internet after Joseph updated her on how he was feeling.
Over dinner, Gemma and Chesney continued to talk about Joseph taking the day off.

Chesney struggled to understand why Gemma was so worried and pointed out children often lie just so they don’t have to go to school.
Frustrated, Gemma said she’d back off and leave Chesney to deal with it, but is there actually something wrong with Joseph?

It could also be that Gemma’s fears are connected to Paul’s (Peter Ash) MND, which was eventually diagnosed following a very minor hand injury.
Does Gemma believe that Joseph’s innocent-seeming symptoms could indicate something more serious?
