Max Turner (Paddy Bever) appears in court in a new Coronation Street spoiler video, following his arrest for inciting terrorism.
Last year, Max was groomed into joining an extremist far-right gang, where he was brainwashed.
In order to help spread the group’s message, he made several videos which went viral online, inciting hatred and leading to attacks on innocent victims.
One of these was Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) who was stabbed in Speed Dahl, just weeks after surviving a bomb planted by gang leader Griff.
As a result of Alya’s stabbing, Max was arrested, where it was suggested that his videos encouraged the attack to take place.
After pleading guilty to the crime, he is back in court for sentencing.
Dad David Platt (Jack P Shephard) is incredibly anxious as the prosecution lawyer makes his case.
Suggesting that Max’s videos made him as guilty as if he had held the knife himself, the prosecutor suggests handing Max the maximum sentence for the crime, despite him pleading guilty.
