With Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) continuing to run his campaign in Coronation Street there is one thing he needs a lot of – money.
Be it providing supplies for protests or buying Max’s (Paddy Bever) new tech equipment, Griff wants to make it seem as though his gang is running like a well-oiled machine.
As the episode got underway, Griff was busy telling Max about their upcoming camping trip.
Spider (Martin Hancock) wasn’t keen on the idea of Max attending and told him he needs to ask David (Jack P Shepherd) first.

Of course, once Max revealed that he wanted to go away with a bunch of racists David firmly but his foot down, but Griff’s manipulation saw the teen stand up to him, explaining that he feels he’s ‘found his tribe’ and will be going, regardless.
While Spider did some research on Griff’s finances, the ringleader was in the market annoying Alya (Sair Khan).
Once she headed off, Councillor Cameron (Mark Murphy) stepped out from the shadows – revealing himself as the financial backer.
This moment is very significant. Len Cameron is working alongside Maria (Samia Longchambon) right now and recently put forward his point on why he disagreed with her idea to rename the Christmas Market.

As well as providing Griff and his pals with more money, Len is also in an impactful role as a councillor – he can put forward horrific and racist ideas and is actually in a position of power that means they could well be implemented.
A dangerous connection and one, for now, the Corrie residents know nothing about.
A friend in a high place.
