Aadi Alahan’s (Adam Hussain) world is about to come crashing down in Coronation Street as he gets news about partner Courtney Vance (Stephanie Davis).
Aadi met Courtney a few months ago when Darren (Ryan Early) made him her PA. At first, Aadi wasn’t happy to ferry Courtney to and from posh events and shopping trips, but they then realised they have a connection and spent a lot of time playing tonsil tennis behind Darren’s back.
Their affair was discovered by Dev (Jimmi Harkishin), who walked in on Courtney and Aadi kissing in the Bistro.
‘She likes a beautiful house, she likes holidays around the world, they’ve just got back from a cruise around the Caribbean so to suddenly switch to being with this 18 year old little shrimp, no way, this is part of the game’, Ryan Early told us recently, discussing the moment Darren learns of Courtney’s huge betrayal.

‘And that’s why he doesn’t try and kill him because this is Courtney. It’s deeply humiliating and there’s maybe no coming back from this because essentially it’s the most toxic thing she can do in a relationship that already has a lot of toxicity.
‘But she’s pushed it now to a level that I’m not sure they can come back from, an 18 year old kid, she’s absolutely crossed the line. Infidelity is one thing, they both come from infidelity so it’s not necessarily the be all and end all, but the humiliation of an affair with this young kid, who he’s been paying, really is a stab in the heart. It’s total humiliation, it’s embarrassing as well as being heartbreaking.’

Since then, Aadi and Courtney made the decision to move into the flat that once belonged to Paul’s (Peter Ash) friend Shelley.
After a breakdown in his relationship with Aadi, upcoming episodes will see Dev head over to his flat to try and make peace with his son.
However, when Dev arrives, his emotions are tested when he discovers Aadi has got a job stacking shelves at Freshco.

In the week, Aadi tells Courtney about his new job and says he’s invited Nina (Mollie Gallagher) and Asha (Tanisha Gorey) round for afternoon tea to celebrate.
With Courtney a no show and Asha running late, Nina and Aadi tuck into the food but they’re taken aback by the arrival of Darren, who has news from Courtney.
