UN secretary-general sends well wishes
The chief of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has sent his well wishes to the Queen.
His spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said: “We’re all following the developing story in the United Kingdom, and I just wanna say that, from the secretary-general’s point of view, that his thoughts are with the Queen, her family and the people of the United Kingdom at this time.”
Joe Biden briefed on Queen’s health
US President Joe Biden has been briefed on the Queen’s health according to the White House.
It says his thoughts are with the Queen and royal family.
Canada PM statement
Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau has tweeted well wishes to the Queen and the Royal Family.
Truss: ‘The whole country will be deeply concerned’
Liz Truss has made a short statement following news that the Queen is under medical supervision in Balmoral.
She said: “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.
“My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”
