Chris Rock is set to take centre stage as he becomes the first artist to perform live on Netflix.
The streaming giant confirmed the news on social media with a picture of the Grown Ups star in all white with a goat beside him.
Yes, a goat.
‘Chris Rock is about to make history as the first artist to perform LIVE on Netflix!’ the post read.
‘The legendary comedian, writer, director, and actor’s newest comedy special will premiere live — globally — in early 2023 on Netflix!’
The stand-up comic previously collaborated with Netflix on the comedy special Tamborine in 2018, and also appeared at the streamer’s Netflix Is a Joke festival earlier this year alongside Dave Chappelle.
Netflix’s vice president of stand-up and comedy formats Robbie Praw said: ‘We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history.
‘This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch.’
It’s been a rocky rollercoaster for the Madagascar actor, 57, following the infamous Oscar scandal which saw Will Smith slapping the actor onstage.
According to reports, Chris was given the opportunity to share his side of the story with American talk show host Oprah Winfrey, but decided against it.

During his stand-up show in August, he explained that he declined the offer and even a Super Bowl commercial with Will Smith himself,’ an audience member alleged he told the crowd.
‘He said, “You are not gonna see me on any interviews crying my heart out about this. I am not going to be a victim”.’
‘I think we were all wondering if he was going to talk about that incident or not,’ they added to Entertainment Tonight.
Will stormed on stage to slap Chris in shocking scenes at the awards show in March, before yelling at him from the audience.

The move left the world reeling, and the King Richard star has since been banned from any Academy events for a decade.
He later apologized for his actions in a YouTube video, which was released at the end of last month.
‘I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk and when he is, he’ll reach out,’ he said at the time.
‘I will say to you Chris, I apologize to you, my behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.
