Metro – Child sex scandal: 96 Rochdale groomers still free 

Ninety-six men deemed a risk to children in Rochdale are still walking free, says Metro. It comes after a report into grooming in the town catalogued a series of failures by police and the council.

The paper says there was a failure to act on “compelling evidence” of exploitation by gangs of mainly Afghan and Pakistani men between 2004 and 2012 and that the report “reveals a series of horrifying failures amid underfunded, low-priority investigations”. It adds that 96 men deemed a risk to children are still free.
