Carol McGiffin had an extraordinary reaction to learning she’s in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix documentary.
The Loose Women panelist is an outspoken critic of the famous couple, who stepped back from the Royal Family to move to North America in 2020.
Now living in California, Harry and Meghan hit headlines on Wednesday with the release of the final three episodes of their explosive documentary giving their side of the story of the last few years.
With claims Prince William ‘screamed’ at Harry, Meghan recalling thoughts of suicide, and discussions around the intrusion they felt on their privacy, there has naturally been huge conversation around the new episodes.
However TV personality Carol insisted she would not be watching the documentary and ‘doesn’t care’ about it – until she found out she was in it.
The documentary contains a clip of Carol ranting about the famous couple on an episode of Loose Women, and on Wednesday there was a parallel of sorts to the old video, as Carol gave her two cents on the new documentary.

She said she was ‘boycotting’ the series – ‘not actively, I’m just not really interested.’

‘I’m fed up with these two,’ she complained, saying they moved away to preserve their ‘privacy’ but they are now ‘trying to make everyone interested’ in hearing their story.
‘If they want to tell it, tell it, Don’t try to make me watch it or manuulate me into thinking it’s true,’
She added: ‘I don’t know if I believe it or not and I don’t care.’
That, until fellow panelist Judi Love interjected: ‘You know you’re in it right? You know you’re in the show? That might convince you to watch it?’

To which Carol responded: ‘Wait, I’m in it? WHAT?’
As she gave out a shocked laugh, the audience began applauding, as Carol shouted: ‘Oh my God, I might watch it now!’
And, upon learning that an estimated 28 million people had watched the documentary so far, she joked: ‘Oh my God, thank you Harry and Meghan!’

The panel were fairly divided in their reactions to the documentary, with Carol insisting it was an attack on the royal family but Charlene White arguing it was more about the couple’s relationship with the media.
Frankie Bridge, meanwhile, said it appeared Harry and Meghan were arguing ‘the way the Royal Family works is outdated,’ and said it was ‘ridiculous’ the family have done ‘loads for mental health charities’ but didn’t seem to know how to deal with it closer to home.
Carol, who has not watched the documentary, took in everyone’s opinions on what Harry and Meghan were trying to say in the documentary, and added: ‘Alright. Shut up about it.’
