Jamie Lynn Spears has signed up for the film reboot of beloved 00s sitcom Zoey 101.
Britney Spears’ sister, 31, starred as Zoey Brooks in the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice award-winning drama, which originally ran from 2005 until 2008 and also starred Elvis actor Austin Butler.
The show centres around the exploits, romances and friendships of Zoey as she enrolled in a prestigious Californian boarding school, that previously only allowed boys to attend.
The final episode ended on a major cliffhanger, seeing the teens make a time capsule in which Zoey left a DVD message explaining what her friends, including her longtime admirer Chase Matthews (Sean Flynn) meant to her.
But she later told poor Chase he would find out her true feeling towards him in ten years time.
The movie reboot, which is being produced by Nickelodeon and will land on Paramount Plus later this year, could potentially answer that question, with Sean among the actors joining the cast.

Quinn Pensky actor Erin Sanders, Matthew Underwood, who played Logan Reese, Christopher Massey, who portrayed Michael Barret and Stacey Dillsen star Abby Wilde will also be the reboot.
Titled Zoey 102, the film will see the Pacific Coast Academy alumni as they reunite after their school years for a big wedding.
Alexa Nikolas, who played Nicole Bristow on the programme, is thought to not be involved in the project, after claiming she ‘didn’t feel safe’ as a child actress.

The 30-year-old staged a protest outside the Nickelodeon studios in August after saying the way she was allegedly treated there was ‘traumatic’.
The actress, who leads organisation and movement Eat Predators which advocates for survivors of sexual abuse, alleged that she was ‘not safe’ there, saying in an Instagram Live: ‘I did not feel protected at Nickelodeon as a child, personally.’
‘I’m demanding that Nickelodeon starts protecting children and not predators.’
