Britney Spears appears to have slammed Millie Bobby Brown’s suggestion of playing her in a film.
Earlier this week, the Stranger Things actress took part in an interview with Drew Barrymore, who asked if there was anything on her bucket list.
The 18-year-old – who shot to superstardom thanks to the hugely popular Netflix series – revealed her hopes to star as the Toxic singer in a film about her life, as she relates to parts of her story.
‘I want to play a real person. I think for me, Britney,’ she told the host. ‘I think her story resonates with me. Growing up in the public eye. Watching videos of her, watching interviews of her when she was younger.
‘I see her scramble for words and I don’t know her but when I look at pictures of her I feel I can tell her story in the right way.’
However, it doesn’t seem as though the mom-of-two is too fond of this idea, as she seemed to subtly shade Millie’s suggestion.

Britney also took aim at her own parents over her conservatorship struggles.
Beside a photo of an ornate door, she wrote on Instagram: ‘Good news, good news!!! Still breathing … it’s funny the same two people who gave me life are the same exact 2 people who took it away … but guess what!!! I’m alive and I’m breathing again!!!
‘Yeah I know I’ve posted too much this week on Instagram … kinda fun though!!! Now that I’m breathing … I have time … it’s different!!! I like it!!!
‘I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I’m not dead!!! Although it’s pretty f**king clear they preferred me dead … I guess my family is going to lock their doors now!!!

‘Either way … I just want to say hi and share these fabulous doors!!! I did kinda post too much this week … I’m embarrassed!!! I get it … oh well!!! Have a good day!!! [sic].’
Fans in the comments below rushed to defend Millie, insisting that she didn’t mean any harm with her comments.
‘We love you Britney,’ a follower penned. ‘Also, I think Millie Bobby Brown meant it as a compliment that she wanted to play you in a movie and that she’d honor you properly, don’t be offended Queen!’
‘Millie was complimenting not wishing death. Jesus,’ another said, as one replied: ‘The only way there’s gonna be a movie about you is if you’re involved.’

‘Millie was complimenting you as she’s a big fan. Not everything is negative,’ an Instagram user added.
Britney’s comments come shortly after she opened up about suffering from ‘nerve damage’ on the right side of her body.
In a recent post on social media, she explained that there is ‘no cure’ for her condition, which is caused when you ‘don’t get enough oxygen to your brain.
The Baby One More Time musician – who was freed from her conservatorship last November – penned: ‘Yes … nerve damage on the right side of my body … there’s no cure except God I guess … nerve damage is caused sometimes when you don’t get enough oxygen to your brain … your brain literally shuts down … blah blah blah old story … in that place I didn’t breathe when I was there … nerve damage causes parts of your body to go numb.’

She revealed that she wakes up ‘like three times a week’ in bed with her hands ‘completely numb’ and feelings of ‘pins and needles’ on the right side of her body.
‘It shoots up to my neck and the part that hurts the worst is my temple on my head … it stings and it’s scary,’ she continued.
‘The last 3 years since I got out of that place I’ve been in a mild unconscious state … I couldn’t face it. It was like it was too scary to be here … although my Instagram has been not up to par to most … hey hey hey it gave me existence and got me here …

‘It’s funny though when I dance I don’t feel the pain … it’s like my mind literally goes to a place of my inner child.’
‘I’ve done a good job trying to pull it off. Either way I’m getting a lot better, I can breathe … I feel smarter because well, Jesus I can breathe now … either way, I’m breathing now.’
