British teen Alex Batty expected back in UK in next few days
Alex Batty is due back in the UK in the next few days after being found in France, six years after going missing, police have said.
Alex, 17, went missing in 2017 whilst on holiday in Spain with his mother and grandfather.
It’s believed Alex’s mother and grandfather, neither who had guardianship of him, had kidnapped him and taken him to live in a ‘spiritual community’ in Spain.
The teen escaped the commune and was found on Wednesday morning by a motorist close to Toulouse in the south of France.
His family in the UK is “massively relieved” and going through a “whole host of emotions”, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
