Britain sending helicopters to Ukraine for the first time says Ben Wallace
The UK’s Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has said the UK will send helicopters to Ukraine – the first piloted aircraft to be sent by Britain since the war began.
Three former British military Sea Kings will be provided and the first has already arrived, according to the BBC.
Ukrainian crews were trained in the UK to fly and maintain the aircraft – to provide search and rescue capabilities.
The UK will send an additional 10,000 artillery rounds, Ben Wallace added. He is currently in Oslo, where he is meeting allies to discuss ongoing military support for Kyiv.
