A six-year-old child was seriously injured last week after falling from a roller coaster in Florida.
The terrifying accident happened around 3.30pm on Thursday afternoon at Fun Spot America in Kissimmee, a central Florida city about 20 miles south of Orlando.
First responders in Osceola County rushed to the location after reports that child had fallen from the Galaxy Spin, a ‘wild mouse’ style coaster in theme park.
‘Units arrived to find a 6-year-old with traumatic injuries under the roller coaster track, which was approximately 20 feet above,’ a spokesperson for Osceola County said.

The child, who was only identified as a six-year-old boy, was rushed to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando with ‘traumatic injuries.’
The Galaxy Spin is a ‘wild mouse’ style coaster, which ‘produces heavy G forces’ from quick turns around tight corners, according to the park’s website.
According to the Roller Coaster Database, the Galaxy Spin has a maximum speed of 29.1 miles per hour and drops from a maximum height of 42.7 feet.
Fun Spot America did not return multiple requests for comment from Metro.co.uk.
The theme park’s website currently lists the Galaxy Spin coaster as ‘down for maintenance.’
Thursday’s accident is only the latest to happen this summer at US theme parks. In July, riders at Carowinds in North Carolina were terrified when they realized the pillar holding up the track of the Fury 325 coaster was cracked.
A brave guest obtained photos and video of the crack while riding the coaster, which was still operating for days after it was first noticed.
Just days later, four riders on a coaster at the Forest County Festival in Wisconsin were hospitalized after being stuck on the ride upside-down for hours.
In August, riders on the Magnum XL 200 at Cedar Point in Ohio were forced to climb down 205 feet of stairs after the coaster stalled at the top of its hill.
