The Liverpool quartet of Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Arthur Melo were all spotted in training on Thursday as they get close to a return to first team action.
The Reds have been suffering with a string of injuries for much of the season, but Jurgen Klopp is set to have more options available to him very soon when the four are back to fitness.
Monday night’s Merseyside derby may still come too soon for Van Dijk, Jota, Firmino and Arthur, although they will all be hoping to prove their fitness to Klopp before that huge game at Anfield.
The trip to Newcastle on 18 February may be a more realistic aim for the four players back in training, certainly for their hopes of making the starting XI.
Still sidelined for Liverpool are Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate, with the former still not expected back until March, while the French defender will be back before the end of February.
While Klopp will be thrilled to have any player back from injury, he will be especially delighted to have Van Dijk back from the hamstring problem that has kept him out since early January.

The Dutch defender limped out of the 3-1 defeat to Brentford on 2 January and the Reds have won just one match since then, a 1-0 victory at Wolves in the FA Cup.
Whether Van Dijk is back for the derby on Monday or not, Klopp will be hoping for a vastly improved performance from his side after a 3-0 defeat to Wolves last time out, which left them 10th in the table.
