A post-mortem on the body previously confirmed there was no ‘third-party involvement’ in her death (Picture: PA)
A body found in a river in Norwich on Friday has been formally identified as Gaynor Lord, the mother-of-three whose disappearance sparked a week-long search.
Mrs Lord had last been seen on December 8 after leaving her work at department store Jarrolds in the Norfolk city, and her clothes were later discovered in Wensum Park.
On December 15, remains were found in the River Wensum, a short distance from the park.
A post-mortem carried out the following day confirmed there was no ‘third-party involvement’ in her death.
Norfolk Police said in a statement: ‘While the Home Office Pathologist awaits the results of the toxicology before formally confirming cause of death, early indications are consistent with drowning.’
