Pokémon Scarlet & Violet – despite the fan complaints, the newest Pokémon game is selling like crazy (pic: The Pokémon Company)
One retailer is selling both versions of the newest Pokémon for under £40, while Amazon has the cheapest offer on a double pack.
Considering it only came out last week, expecting Pokémon Scarlet & Violet to receive a price cut for Black Friday was always unlikely.
That said, the likes of GAME and Very are offering bundles that include the game and a Nintendo Switch console, but what if you’re just after the game itself?
Well, you’re in luck as it’s been discovered that one retailer is selling it for just under £40.
For comparison’s sake, buying a copy of Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet via Nintendo will set you back £50.
ShopTo is selling them for about £10 less (a 20% saving) at £39.85. It’s also including an exclusive pin badge depending on which version you get.
The badge depicts the logo of the school your character attends, which is different between the two versions. In Pokémon Scarlet, you attend Naranja Academy, which has an orange for its logo, while Pokémon Violet features Uva Academy with a grape logo.

ShopTo was offering a double pack containing both versions for less too – £89.95 compared to the £99.99 Nintendo’s website is selling it for – but it’s unfortunately sold out at the time of writing. Same for Nintendo’s website too.
If you are eager to own two copies of the game, though, you’re in luck since Amazon is also selling a double pack, plus it’s even cheaper than ShopTo’s price.
At the time of writing, Amazon has the double pack listed at £83.98, a saving of £16. Should ShopTo sell out, it also has the two versions at a discount, although they’re a tad more expensive than ShopTo’s offer, at £41.99.

It’s not as if Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is in need of a price cut to push units, though, since it’s already the biggest retail launch of the year, knocking FIFA 23 off its podium.
It’s also the second fastest selling Pokémon game ever, despite some fans complaining about bugs and demanding a refund from Nintendo.
