Benoit Badiashile has joined the Chelsea injury list ahead of Sunday’s meeting with Premier League leaders Manchester City.
The Blues have picked up their first points under interim boss Frank Lampard win a draw against Nottingham Forest and a win over Bournemouth in the last two weeks.
They now head to the Premier League leaders with a number of first-team stars still sidelined fot the final games of the season.
Reece James, Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella and Mateo Kovacic are all sidelined with N’Golo Kante likely to miss the rest of the season after a new injury setback.
January signing Badiashile has started Chelsea’s last two games in Kalidou Koulibaly’s absence but the Frenchman is another who will miss out this weekend.
‘We’re pretty much similar to where we have been recently in terms of Mason, Reece, Chilly [Chilwell], N’Golo, Marc Cucurella not fit,’ Lampard told a press conference on Friday.
‘Kouli has been training this week, but probably not really ready for a game like this. He’s ahead of schedule to be fair.

‘Benoit has injured himself in training two days ago, his groin and will miss the game. We’re assessing that now as we speak.’
City can be crowned champions this weekend if they beat Chelsea on their own turf on Sunday. Second place Arsenal are in action against Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening and Pep Guardiola’s side can seal the title without kicking a ball should the Gunners lose at the City Ground.
A draw for Arsenal would also leave City needing just a point.

City booked their place in the Champions League final with a thumping win over Real Madrid on Wednesday with Lampard calling for his players to show ‘respect for ourselves’ when they take on the Treble-chasing opposition.
‘They look like a good team that are in a really good run of form and have got a lot of motivation and have shown it in their games,’ Lampard said.
‘Who knows how the game pans out on the day but at the same time when you see them churning out these wins and performances with a really strong squad you have to expect the best version of Manchester City. So I expect the best version of ourselves in terms of our performance. Whether we win the game or whatever the players have to put in a performance to show respect for ourselves and pride in playing for Chelsea.’
