Miss Venezuela has died from injuries sustained in a car crash in Florida last month.

Ariana Viera, who was based in Orlando, was due to represent her country at the Miss Latin America of the World 2023 competition in the Dominican Republic.

The 26-year-old reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel before ramming into the vehicle in front of her in the region of Lake Nona.

The incident on July 13 came just months before the international beauty contest in October.

Although the official cause of the crash has not yet been reported, Ariana’s mum shared that her daughter had been suffering fatigue and had fallen asleep whilst driving.

Vivian Ochoa told local media: ‘They revived her and she then had a heart attack.

‘They revived her again, but she passed away as they were taking her to trauma care.’

She added: ‘My girl fell asleep, she was tired.’

At the time of the incident, the Venezuelan model was preparing to take part in a beauty contest in New York City.

Her modelling career was growing and she also ran her own company called Full House Cleaning.

In an eerie twist, Ariana seems to have predicted her own funeral just months earlier.

She posted a video on her Instagram account on May 2 with the caption: ‘Filming myself for my future funeral because it is always me in the videos, no one else does it.’
