The Daily Express issues a warning to the chancellor over a controversial Treasury plan which could see the state pension age raised to 68 – 11 years earlier than planned.  It reports the increase is currently set for 2046 but the Treasury wants it brought forward to 2035. The Centre for Ageing Better told the paper that the planned changes “should not be rushed”.

The front page also leaves space for a story on Tony Christie, who says singing helps with his dementia.
