BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst was heckled by a protestor who appeared to be seething over ice cream prices and the BBC licence fee.
The 42-year-old broadcaster, who is pregnant with her third child, had been speaking to Sally Nugent and Jon Kay over video link.
However, her reporting from Salford Quays was interrupted when she was confronted by a man.
She had been saying: ‘I’m treating myself to an ice cream cone shortly but Claire’s prices have gone up to £3.50 for a single cone and it’s not surprising really when you look at the overall inflation of food and ingredients.’
Someone in the background then began shouting, forcing Nina to move away.
While it could not be heard what exactly he was saying, the man was shouting ‘licence fee’ at the camera and at Nina.

As Nina moved away and continued reporting, the man was still heard shouting from behind the camera.
‘BBC slash the licence fee,’ could be heard.
‘Clearly there is a lot of demand for ice cream,’ Jon joked in the studio.
Sally added: ‘Don’t mess with our Nina.’

She went on to reassure viewers that Nina would be ‘completely fine’.
Nina later updated fans on Twitter, saying ‘Thanks for the messages you lovely lot.
‘I am fine. Just gutted I didn’t have time for an ice cream.’
‘Handled like the true professional,’ one viewer wrote.
Someone else penned: ‘You coped with that confidently and professionally But I was a little bit worried for you, so glad you’re OK xx.’
Another commented: ‘So afraid for you at the time. What a scary moment. You dealt with it so well. What a trooper you are Nina.’
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
