Daily Mirror – Back where we began 

The Daily Mirror takes a critical stance on the appointment of former prime minister David Cameron as foreign secretary – with the headline: “Back where we began.” The paper says PM Rishi Sunak has been accused of “desperation” for bringing Cameron back into government. It goes on to report Cameron was the PM who unleashed the age of austerity, and plunged the country into chaos with his ‘Brexit gamble.’ 

The paper also reports on the funeral of England and Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton.
