Bacary Sagna is confident Arsenal have what to it take to complete a rare north London derby double and secure their maiden win at Tottenham’s new stadium.
The Gunners have enjoyed a stellar start to the season and remain five points clear of champions Manchester City at the top of the table, despite a goalless stalemate in their last league outing against Newcastle.
Arsenal overpowered Spurs when the two teams met at the Emirates earlier this season but are you to taste victory against Spurs and the new White Hart Lane.
Antonio Conte’s side are sure to raise their game for the visit of their fiercest rivals and ended went a long way to ending Arsenal’s Champions League qualification hopes in the corresponding fixture at the end of last season.
Sagna, however, believes this current Arsenal squad is made of stronger stuff and will secure their first win on enemy territory since 2014.
‘Tottenham will be a tricky game because the pressure is on Arsenal because of where they are in the league.
‘Tottenham have dangerous players and the North London Derby is a special game, but Arsenal have the better squad, they just need to deal with the pressure. I’m very confident Arsenal can win the game.

‘Arsenal are the favourites to win the game and will always be the favourites to win the North London Derby,’ he told Midnite.
‘Some respect to Tottenham for the squad and stadium they’ve created, but Arsenal have the prestige and the better quality over Tottenham.’
Whether Arsenal can handle the pressure and fend off the chasing pack which includes City, Newcastle and a rejuvenated Manchester United remains to be seen but Sagna has backed his former teammate Arteta to mastermind a title-wining campaign.
He added: ‘Arsenal are on their way to winning the Premier League title, with the point gap already and facing Man City at home in their first game against each other.
‘Man City won’t be easy, they’re a top team, they have a stronger mentality than the Arsenal squad. I feel that Arsenal are very strong and any player that comes in will have a big impact on the squad.
‘Arsenal will beat Man City at the Emirates if they play the way they did last season, they only lost in the last minute unexpectedly.
‘The coaches know each other and will both have a game plan, it will be a very interesting team tactically. I can see Arsenal having possession of the ball and putting pressure on Man City, and Man City don’t like pressure.’
