Team GB had to eventually settle for bronze in the mixed really triathlon despite initially believing they had won silver at the climax of a thrilling race in Paris. Adam Peaty did not hold back in criticising ‘cheating’ at Paris 2024, slamming previously ‘contaminated’ Chinese swimmers after the 4x100m medley. Team GB silver medallist Amber Rutter believes a VAR system should be in place for future Olympic shooting events after being controversially denied gold in Paris. A shoot-off was required in Sunday’s skeet final after Great Britain’s Rutter and Chile’s Francisca Crovetto tied on 55 shots from 60 targets.
