Katie now says she has been contacted by the Met Police to let her know officers are under investigation for allegedly targeting her disabled son in a WhatsApp group posting ‘inappropriate and discriminatory’ images of him.

She took to Instagram on Friday to say she had been hand-delivered a letter from an officer which states a ‘number’ of officers are alleged to ‘being part of a WhatsApp group chat that has posted inappropriate and discriminatory image of your son, Harvey Price.

‘The officers will now be subject to a Gross Misconduct Hearing’ due to take place on February 20, the letter reads.

Sharing the shocking letter, Katie said: ‘It’s disgusting that police officers from here have felt the need to laugh and use disgusting content on Harvey by creating a [WhatsApp] group.’

‘They need to be named shamed and exposed.’

Still Open All Hours is no longer open (Picture: BBC)

Still Open All Hours has been cancelled ahead of the seventh season, according to reports.

The BBC sitcom, starring Sir David Jason, returned to our screens as a sequel to Open All Hours.

But now, Still Open All Hours is officially closed.

A BBC spokesperson said: ‘There are currently no plans for new episodes of Still Open All Hours.’

They confirmed to British Comedy Guide: ‘We’d like to thank the cast and crew for six wonderful series, which are all available to view on BBC iPlayer.’

The sitcom was revived in 2014 after a successful Boxing Day special, which saw Sir David reprise his much-loved role of Granville.

At the time, it became one of the most watched programmes over the festive period – beating even the likes of Doctor Who and Mrs Brown’s Boys with its audience of 9.43m viewers.

‘I am so delighted that we are doing a series of Still Open All Hours as the feedback from our Christmas special has been so rewarding and encouraging,’ the Only Fools and Horses actor said.

‘We want to have more fun giving the audience the kind of show they seemed to appreciate.’

The original programme ran from 1973 to 1985, starring Ronnie Barker alongside Sir David.

In the revival Granville had taken over running the corner shop from Ronnie’s Arkwright, while introducing his son Leroy (James Baxter).

The original run only had 26 episodes over four series’, while the revival scored 41 total episodes over six series.

It has been reported a seventh series was in the works, but delayed due to the pandemic, and has now been dropped.

Metro.co.uk has approached BBC for comment.

Still Open All Hours is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
