Diaby back on Arsenal’s radar (Picture: Getty)
Arsenal are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby after missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk.
The Gunners made three bids for the Ukraine winger this month but saw him join London rivals Chelsea on Sunday after the Blues agreed a huge £88million fee with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Mikel Arteta is still keen to strengthen his attacking options this month with his side mounting a Premier League title challenge, opening up an eight point lead at the top following their win over Tottenham.
Sky Germany now report 23-year-old forward Diaby is an option being considered at the Emirates.
The former Paris Saint-Germain star has also been linked with a move to Newcastle United and has scored six times and provided three assists this term, playing on both flanks and on occasion through the middle.
Diaby has a contract with Leverkusen until 2025 however with reports last year suggesting the Bundesliga side value the player at €100million.
Reports in Spain have claimed Barcelona would demand a similar figure for Raphinha, another player back on Arsenal’s radar after missing out on Mudryk.

Arsenal attempted to sign the Brazil international last summer along with Chelsea, only for him to hold out for a move to the Camp Nou.
However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Raphinha’s entourage have made it clear that the 26-year-old has no intention of moving clubs in January and wants to see out the season with Barcelona.
Raphinha made an appearance as a late substitute as Barcelona sealed a 3-1 victory over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday evening.
In a post on Instagram after the game, the winger gave another indication to supporters that he is looking to finish the season with Barca.
‘The first of the season, the first with this giant shirt that is Barcelona. Just thank you for this amazing moment. Let’s go for more,’ Raphinha wrote on social media.
Arsenal have also been offered Brighton winger Leandro Trossard with the Belgium international looking to leave this month after falling out with Roberto De Zerbi.
