Metro – Armed police swoop on water pistol boy

The news that armed police rammed a boy off his bicycle and held him at gunpoint after mistaking a water pistol for a real firearm is the lead story in the Metro.

The 13-year-old boy was “rammed” off his bike by armed police who “held him at gunpoint ‘inches from death’ after his bright blue water pistol was mistaken for a real gun”. 

The paper says the child – who was having a water fight at the time – has been left having nightmares.
