Matt Hancock’s smile caused backlash on Tuesday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after fans were horrified by a close-up of the politician’s teeth.
Viewers claimed they were given a ‘jumpscare’ after the former Health Secretary’s flashy grin spread across their screens in a teaser that let them know he was on the way to the jungle.
The controversial figure and comedian Seann Walsh are late entries into the camp, with Matt causing uproar after announcing his taking part in the game-show series.
Exposing more and more of the unidentifiable individuals during the trailer, Matt can be seen adjusting his hat, pulling up red socks and most notably, exposing his gnashers a little too close to the camera for comfort.
Demanding a ‘trigger warning’ after the clip was aired, fans questioned why the image was added into the segment.
One wrote: ‘The zoom in on Matt Hancock’s teeth had me HOWLING [SIC].’

Another asked: ‘Why have we got to see Matt Hancock’s teeth close up?’
Hopping on to address the toothy issue on Instagram Live, hosts of the show, Ant and Dec, took the opportunity to poke fun at the politician.
Laughing themselves, Ant read out a comment that said: ‘Someone just said there, Matt’s smile there at the end and I know what they mean.
‘I mean, I reckon a lot of people are shouting at the telly. But yeah, let’s just see what he’s like.’

During the dramatic promo, Matt assured that people will see the ‘real’ version of himself in camp and compared the jungle to the world of British politics.
He added: ‘Survival in the jungle is a good metaphor for the world I work in.
‘People will see me warts and all, will see the human side of the guy behind the podium.’
Widely grinning straight down the lens, the controversial campmate stated: ‘I don’t think I’ve got any fears or phobias but I’m about to find out.’
Walking in to face a trial before they have even put their rucksacks down, Dec assured viewers they would soon see the former health MP receive a warm bushtucker welcome.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV.
