Angelina Jolie accuses Brad Pitt of abuse on private plane

American actress Angelina Jolie has accused her ex-husband Brad Pitt of drunkenly attacking her and their children on a private jet.

The allegations were made in filed court papers by Ms Jolie, in a lawsuit over a French winery they bought together. 

In the lawsuit, Jolie says her ex-husband had grabbed her by the head and attacked two of their children on the 2016 trip – the incident is what prompted Jolie to file for divorce, the papers add. 

Jolie says Pitt verbally abused and poured alcohol on his family during the flight from France to Los Angeles.

Pitt denies the allegations. 

Jolie’s claims of abusive behaviour on the 2016 flight had emerged in previous court papers, but new details were alleged in Tuesday’s filing in Los Angeles, by Ms Jolie’s legal team.
