Andi Peters’ attempt to share some of his birthday cake turned into disaster after he stacked it while running through a studio.
The ITV presenter might usually be in far-flung destinations sharing details of amazing competitions but was closer to home doing his segment from the Lorraine studio on Friday morning.
Also marking a special day, it was revealed that Andi was celebrating his birthday this weekend.
Presented with a cake and some balloons, he decided to kindly offer his treat with some of the crew, heading backstage.
However, his offer was brutally rejected by the director.
‘No I’m actually OK,’ was the response Andi received.

‘Did you just mug me off on telly,’ he said, shocked that he’d been shut down for many people to see.
‘Ah well, ok then Bob the director or whatever your name is,’ he jokingly added.
After running audiences through the competition for the day and explaining how they could enter, Andi then ran downstairs to see if host Christine Lampard might want a piece of his birthday cake.
However, he quickly realised that she was in the middle of presenting and tried to duck down as he put the cake on her desk.
‘You can have it, there you go,’ he said.

But just as he tried to sneak out of the studio, Andi slipped and went crashing to the floor.
A bang could be heard as Andi hit the ground, while Christine, who had her back turned to him, asked what just happened.
‘Did you just fall?’ she exclaimed.
‘It’s all happening today,’ she said as Andi could be heard laughing in the background.
While the presenter may have been a bit frazzled after the brutal rejection from his colleague, it’s not the first time he’s been shut down live on air.
Back in 2021 Andi headed over to the home of someone who had won £3,000 in the show’s ‘wake up a winner’ competition.
However, when he knocked on the door, it was made apparent that the residents weren’t expecting any visitors so early in the morning, having just gone half seven.
After waiting awhile for a reply, the door opened, with a man just wearing pyjama bottoms answering.
While Andi explained what was going on, the man quickly shut the door and went to find his wife, who had won the competition.
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV1.
