ITV has confirmed Monday’s hosts following Phillip Schofield’s exit.
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary – who usually present on Fridays – will front the show tomorrow (May 22), it has been confirmed to Metro.co.uk.
Meanwhile, Holly Willoughby is taking an early half-term break and will be back on the sofa at the start of June.
It has not yet been revealed who will join her, however, with speculation rife that one of the show’s regulars will take over from Phil.
Both Alison and Dermot are hot favourites with bookies, as well as TV presenters Rylan Clark and Joel Dommett.
Phil’s shock exit from the show after 20 years came on Saturday (May 20) after weeks of speculation regarding his and Holly’s long-standing friendship.
Sources reported that their bond was no longer as strong, claiming they were ‘barely speaking’ to one another behind the scenes, despite appearing cosy on camera.
Headlines were soon flying, with rumours that Holly herself was set to quit the show, while Phil called in his lawyers.
But ultimately, it was Phil who departed.
Explaining his reasons, he released a statement this weekend, ahead of next week’s programmes.
Taking to social media to reflect on his time on the show, he wrote: ‘I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning.
‘But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
‘Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.
‘I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
‘So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future.
‘I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.’
After Phil’s initial post, Holly took to her Instagram Story to address the matter, her first comment since reports began.
‘Hi everyone…’, she began.
‘It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour.’
‘The sofa won’t feel the same without him’, she concluded, suggesting she plans to stay on as host for the forseeable.
