Claudio Castagnoli is chasing more magical moments at All In London (Picture: AEW)
All Elite Wrestling star Claudio Castagnoli couldn’t believe his luck as he brawled through the Royal Box at Wembley Stadium over the summer.
The Swiss Cyborg, best known to WWE fans as Cesaro before leaving the company last year, has been thriving in rival promotion AEW and he’s looking forward to being back in the UK for more ‘wild’ times at All In London 2024.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk as tickets go on sale Friday (December 1) at 9am, Claudio is still in awe from last year’s special event as they went from the Royal Box bar into the seats themselves.
‘It was so wild,’ he admitted. ‘Everything just goes so fast. But the cool part was just to see, like, take some moments to just look around.
‘And since I was privileged to fight in the Royal Box and on the royal seats, I had a good view of, of the whole arena and it was was absolutely spectacular. And to think that that happens in Europe.
‘You know, it means a lot to me and to be part of it… And the fact that we’re coming back, you know, just makes it super special!’
At the record breaking event last summer, Claudio was part of an over the top Stadium Stampede match as he and his Blackpool Combat Club teammates (Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta) joined forces with Mike Santana and Ortiz against Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta and Orange Cassidy.

The action quickly spilled all over Wembley, and the European star – who is a huge football fan – was in his element in one of sport and entertainment’s most iconic venues.
‘It was one of those when we found out, they’re like, “Yeah, you can probably fight in the Royal Box,”‘ he laughed. ‘And then like, “I’ll do it. I’ll be up there!” When you start wrestling, you know, Europe or even in the States, it’s like, you never think like, “oh, yeah, I’ll be wrestling at Wembley“, right?

‘And then, like, you find the world box. It’s just like, another crazy thing. It’s like, okay, who else can say that? I did that, you know what I mean?’
Claudio pointed to the way wrestling, at its core, is a chance to ‘create special moments’ for the fans and performers, which can take many forms.
Coming out of the pandemic, the star – then working as Cesaro – found himself across the ring from close friend Seth Rollins at the first WrestleMania in front of fans in two years due to global health crisis.

‘That was my first singles Wrestlemania match, against my best friend. And it was a banger, it was awesome,’ he smiled, while also referencing being British wrestling legend William Regal’s final opponent.
‘There’s been matches that I had on non-televised events,’ he added. ‘There was one with Sheamus in Japan, a match nobody will ever see it, but it means a lot to me and him.’
The ‘fun part’ for Claudio is taking the audience on a ride, however that may be, and he’s got his eye on something special for Wembley in August 2024.

Being in the ring with his Blackpool Combat Club pals is a possibility, but he would love to stand across from ‘somebody else from Europe’ under the iconic Wembley arch.
‘Maybe PAC if he gets healthy again,’ he suggested. ‘Or AEW just signed Will Ospreay as well. So, there’s another opportunity!’
‘There’s so many options. We’ll just have to have to wait till we get there,’ he teased. ‘And to me, that’s part of the fun, to see where the ride takes you.’
