Donna Air has revealed a recent trip to hospital after she fractured her spine in two places.
The actress and TV presenter, 43, didn’t exactly have the joyful end to 2022 that she hoped for, as she shared photos of herself in a neck brace and wearing a hospital gown.
‘Well the year has ended with a bang. Just when I thought this Christmas would be without restrictions – I have managed to fracture my spine in two places,’ she wrote.
‘I guess sometimes we are stopped in our tracks and reminded yet again to keep it simple.’
However, the TV star is remaining optimistic.
She added to her Instagram followers: ‘Looking forward to seeing so many of you when I am back in my dancing shoes.’

Going on to thank the medical staff for their care, she wrote: ‘Grateful to my nearest and dearest who have kept me smiling these past two weeks especially @freyaaspinalll AKA The elf who saved Christmas. A natural COO and the most expert of shoppers.’
Wishing her followers a merry festive season, she signed off: ‘Sending you all lots of love, Happy Christmas everyone & to those facing their own challenges, remember this too shall pass.’
And it seems the actress isn’t letting her health woes prevent her from enjoying her Christmas, as she also included photos from outings with friends and her adorable pup under the tree in her post.
