The true impact of Taylor Swift has made itself clear once again as she gears up to perform in California next week.
Taylor, 33, has countless world records, awards, and music sales under her belt, making her, without question, one of the most powerful and influential musicians of our generation.
And it seems Santa Clara agrees, as they’ve bestowed a high honour upon the US pop star.
In celebration of Taylor taking her Eras Tour to the city, Santa Clara will be renamed as ‘Swiftie Clara’ for July 28-29.
That’s not all as, for the duration of her two concerts Levi’s Stadium, Taylor will also become the honorary Mayor.
Announcing the news, Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor rolled out all the Taylor puns.

‘It’s me, hi, Mayor Gillmor, it’s me,’ she began.
‘I’m Enchanted to share news that will make your Wildest Dreams come alive. July 28 and 29 will be The Best Days because Taylor Swift is bringing her Eras Tour to our city.
‘In honour of this incredible talent about to grace the stage at Levi’s Stadium, we are renaming our beloved city for two unforgettable days. During this time, Santa Clara will become Swiftie Clara as we embrace the Swiftie fever sweeping the nation and the world.’
‘But that’s not all,’ she added. ‘To commemorate this momentous occasion, I am humbled to declare Taylor Swift as the honorary mayor of Swiftie Clara during her stay.’
She concluded by saying Taylor’s arrival will help to ‘write a chapter in our city’s history’.

Taylor has been performing across the States for the past few months with her three-hour concert, taking fans on the ultimate trip down memory lane with songs from all eras in her 17-year career.
Ahead of her US leg coming to a conclusion, Taylor shared a heartfelt tweet.
‘It’s really hitting me that we only have 3 cities left on the US Eras Tour’, she wrote.
‘This has been my favorite adventure of all. I appreciate and cherish every second of it.’
International Swifties also have plenty of reasons to get excited, as the Grammy winner is bringing her show to Europe in 2024.
Although, sadly, not everyone can be there, given that demand for tickets was so high and the purchasing process was anything but stress-free.

As a result, Swifties have been left heartbroken by noticing resale tickets being advertised for thousands of pounds.
Taylor will play six dates in London alone, as well as three in Liverpool, three in Edinburgh, three in Dublin, and one in Cardiff.
In the ultimate nostalgia trip, she’ll also be supported by Paramore.
