Daily Express – No idea! 9 times Starmer fails to give an answer on boats crisis
In a “tempestuous” head-to-head clash between Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer, the Labour leader was challenged over his solution to migrants arriving on small boats, the Daily Express says.
The savage six-word retort Sunak repeatedly used to hammer home doubts about Starmer
Rishi Sunak repeatedly floored Sir Keir Starmer with a simple six-word retort designed to hammer home doubts about whether voters can trust the Labour leader. Throughout the General Election campaign, the Tories have pointed to how the former director of public prosecutions has frequently changed his positions and gone back on promises made during his Labour leadership campaign.
Jay Slater search latest: New photos show missing teenager in Tenerife before vanishing
New pictures have emerged of British teenager Jay Slater before he went missing in Tenerife on June 17. New pictures show the 19-year-old at the resort Playa de las Americas with his friend Lucy Mar Law and other partygoers. The photos were taken at the NRG Music Festival on June 15 – two days before he was disappeared. They were posted online by a female holidaymaker who has not been identified. In the post, she said: “Just came across these in my camera roll. Not sure if they could be of any help, Jay sort of looks like he’s standing (by) himself while Lucy is speaking to his other friends.”
Family ‘fury’ as CPS explains why woman won’t be charged after killing two schoolgirls
The driver of a car that crashed into a school killing two eight-year-old girls will face no criminal charges after it was found she had suffered an epileptic seizure behind the wheel. Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau died after the crash at The Study Prep school in Wimbledon on July 6 last year. Several others were injured when the Land Rover crashed through a fence and hit a building. Their families said in a joint statement: “We remain unconvinced that the investigation has been conducted thoroughly. We remain unconvinced that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) have reached a decision based on all the facts. Justice has neither been done, nor has been seen to be done today. Nuria and Selena deserved better.”
The secret tax hikes Labour doesn’t want us to know about until AFTER polling day
If they did tell us, we’d all be able to have a proper debate about Labour’s tax plans, and it doesn’t want that to happen. Starmer knows it would terrify the electorate. Many are happy to vote Labour to see off the hated Tories and they like the idea of “change”. They wouldn’t be so keen if they had a clearer idea of what Starmer’s change would involve and who will end up paying for it. In place of policy, we have rumours. So far, all we know is that Labour will not increase income tax, national insurance (NI) and VAT.
