“Global house price downturn shows signs of reversal as rate-cut hopes rise,” reads the splash on the front of the Financial Times. The widespread drop in global house prices that hit advanced economies has largely petered out, according to a front-page lead story.
Elsewhere the FT includes a report that the biggest technology companies have substantially increased their water usage in recent years to cool data centres, sparking concerns about the environmental cost of AI. The paper says researchers from California are warning the matter must be addressed as freshwater becomes increasingly scarce.
There is also a story regarding US aid to Ukraine as Zelensky says it’s needed within a month.
