You don’t have to own a mansion to do the trend – you can rent one (Picture: Airbnb)
Saltburn fans are filming themselves running through huge homes on TikTok – and just like every other trend on the app, people are desperate to follow suit.
The recent psychological thriller that’s got everyone talking stars Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi as Oliver Quick and Felix Catton – two Oxford University pals who spend the summer together at the luxe family estate owned by the latter’s family.
It’s also raised eyebrows for a bunch of shocking scenes, including a jaw-dropping bathtub moment, which has made everyone thirsty for Jacob Elordi’s bath water.
The end of the movie also sees Barry Keoghan’s character dance through the elegant stately home to Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s 2001 hit song Murder on the Dancefloor – inspiring the latest TikTok craze.
For those of us who don’t own grand mansions or castles to frolic about in, fear not.
Here are eight UK holiday homes and manor houses that will serve as the perfect backdrop for your very own Murder on the Dancefloor moment.
The Manor, Temple Guiting, Gloucestershire

This manor house has been privately-owned since the 15th century and it serves elegant, traditional-meets-contemporary realness.
Nestled in the English countryside in Gloucestershire, the property has five bedrooms, many of which boast gorgeous garden views, and can host up to 12 guests.
Ideal for Saltburn fans, the Airbnb advert also urges guests to ‘soak in a deep bubble bath’. What’s more, there’s a wood-burning fireplace, timber beam ceilings, gilded mirrors, oil portraits and a main dining table illuminated by a crystal chandelier.
The property is available throughout January but there is a seven-night minimum stay priced at £25,000 per night.
Henry’s Townhouse, London

The former house of Jane Austen’s brother Henry is townhouse in London’s Marylebone.
It’s filled with decadent Georgian glamour: six elegant bedrooms, hallways adorned with art and lavish sitting rooms, and six unique bedrooms.
‘It was like staying in an amazing art gallery, historical monument and Willy Wonka’s house all in one,’ said Airbnb customer Paul after a September 2022 stay at the property.
When you’re not filming Saltburn TikToks, you can have a taste of how the other half live with Henry’s private staff. The property is available through most of January, priced from £4,170 per night.
Castle in Caldicot, Wales

Just look at all the wood and red hues.
Guests must stay for a minimum of two nights and there are dates available from mid-January and beyond for £650 per night.
Hinwick House, Bedfordshire

This country manor, which dates back to 1710, underwent an extensive restoration in recent years but it still has all of its vintage charm. Hinwick House has lavish four-poster beds, crystal chandeliers Sia would kill to swing from, a grand wooden staircase, and 20 bedrooms for 16+ guests.
Condé Nast Traveller included this villa in its list of the nine best wedding venues in the UK last year. But if viral fame rather than vows are on your TikTok to-do list this year, look no further.
Hinwick House is currently available on a special offer, but it’s by no means cheap. You can stay for one night but it’ll cost from £3,282.

With room for more than 16 guests and nine bedrooms on offer, this 15th century manor has a period feel fit for Felix’s oddball family.
St Albans is a relatively short journey from London at just 22 minutes on the train, so it’s not hard to see why this accommodation is popular.
Once you’re inside there’s a massive wood dining table, for all your dramatic Saltburn reenactments (and dinner, of course) and lots of red.
Guests must stay for a minimum of two nights and it will cost from £1,550 per night.

Be warned though, the listing does not accept more than 16 guests to occupy the eight bedrooms and six bathrooms. Your videos will have to be all wrapped up by 11pm because that’s when quiet time begins. This one’s a three-night minimum stay at £955 per night.
